How can a student apply for a spot on the in-person ISP MUN Malaysia conference?
A student can apply to participate in the ISP MUN Malaysia 2024 conference by filling the registration form. This form must be completed by the parents/family of the interested students.
What type of information is required in the registration form?
In the registration form, parents/families will be required to provide information regarding parental consent, medical information and personal details for travel bookings as well as other information that will be required for the smooth running of the conference.
What happens if my student starts the learning journey and ends up not attending the conference?
There is no problem if your student starts the learning journey and ends up not attending the conference. We encourage interested students to engage in the learning modules even if they are not 100% certain they will be able to attend the conference. Please do consider that once the student fee has been paid, there will be no refund in the case of cancellation.
Where will students stay during the conference?
During the conference the students will stay at a hotel. All students must follow the code of conduct during the stay at the hotel. All students will share rooms with peers of the same age and gender.

Who pays for the delegate package fee?
All students registered in the ISP MUN Malaysia conference who have received confirmation from ISP Central must pay for a delegate package fee to participate in the in-person conference. Payments will be made by parents/ families through a payment link sent by our travel agency.
What does the delegate package cover?
The national delegate package covers: two sightseeing days, three days of in person ISP MUN Conference, ground transportation from schools to sights and all lunches.
The travel delegate package covers: transportation from the airport to the hotel and vice versa, two sightseeing days, breakfasts, lunches and dinners, three days of in person ISP MUN Conference, ground transportation from the hotel to the school and sights.
How are plane tickets booked for international students?
Our travel agency partner will manage the bookings for all international students and chaperones who will be travelling to Kuala Lumpur for the in-person conference. This will ensure that every group of students will travel accompanied by the corresponding chaperones from their county. Parents/families must pay the travel agency managing the bookings directly through the provided payment link.
At what stage should parents/families make the payment to the travel agency?
Once a family submits the registration form and receives confirmation, they will be contacted by ISP Central to proceed to bookings and payments with the travel agency.
How well does my child need to speak English?
They should have a good level of written and spoken English (at least B2) in the European Framework or Reference for Languages CEFR. This is mainly to ensure that the students feel comfortable during the trip and can make the most of this learning experience that
includes debating and public speaking.
How will travelling students arrive at the airport of departure?
Families are responsible for making sure their students arrive at the airport established as the point of departure to travel from their country.
How will travelling students get to the hotel once they arrive at Kuala Lumpur airport?
Students will be taken from the airport to the hotel in shuttle buses accompanied by their chaperones. The buses will be arranged by the travel agency. Likewise, shuttle buses will take students with their chaperones from the hotel to the airport for their return flights.
What is the payment process for the Delegate Package?
How many students stay per room?
Two students of the same gender will stay in each room.

What do I do if my child needs a visa or minor authorization to travel?
Visas/minor authorizations are necessary for some countries and may require a personal interview in the respective consulate. Visa application costs are the responsibility of students/guardians. ISP will be able to provide letters of invitation if required for visa applications. ISP is not responsible for informing families of the visa requirements or authorizations to travel for each country.
Do I need travel and medical insurance for my child?
Yes. ISP students will need to have travel and medical insurance that covers expenses should the student need to see a doctor or require emergency medical treatment in the destination country. The medical insurance should also cover travel days.

What Health & Safety information is required?
All parents must submit the required Health and Safety information included in the registration form (Medical Information, Dietary Requirements, Emergency Contacts and Parental Consents ). Students will not be able to participate in ISP MUN without proper completion of the different sections of the registration form.
What if a student needs medical attention?
In the event of a medical emergency, immediate medical assistance will be sought. The safety of all children is paramount, and all necessary action will be taken to ensure this. Staff and chaperones will have copies of the Health & Safety pack forms, parental consent form and a copy of the student medical insurance. All students will be required to have medical insurance that will cover any expenses if he/she requires medical attention, needs to visit a doctor or requires emergency treatment. The medical insurance must be organised and paid for by the parents/guardians of the student for the duration of the conference and include travel days.
Do you complete risk assessments?
The safety of the students is our main priority. All staff in our schools and in the central team are highly qualified and are background checked before employment. Each school will spend time thoroughly planning all aspects of the ISP MUN Programme, using detailed educational risk assessments to adhere to our strict safety protocols.
